About

Teafenders is a game about planet Earth being under attack from living, expired tea bags, who have ventured from Mars on an evil mission to destroy the divine source of good tea! Fortunately, a band of four delicious gingerbread men will do everything in their power to prevent the tea bags from ruining the world’s tea. These protectors travel on a flying saucer to various locations where the tea bags have landed and fight to save the tea. The game sees the gingerbread men fighting teabags in two main levels, the flying saucer itself and a beautiful picnic bench on a bright sunny day. The game also features a colorful and fun art style with many visual and audio stimuli to keep players interested. 

Teafenders  is perfect for the casual couch gamer, of all ages. It provides a light, fun and humorous experience. Teamwork is a core element of Teafenders and is best suited for partners or a small group of players (2-4 player co-op).

Development

This game is being developed as part of a student project for CSC404: Introduction to Video Game Design offered at the University of Toronto. The total development time for this game is a mere 10 weeks and is by no means perfect. The game itself has been presented to and played by members of well established studios such as Ubisoft Toronto, Snowman and Zynga. Their feedback have been extremely useful and many of the changes made during development time was a direct result of the feedback we received.

Controls

The game currently supports only gamepad (any standard gamepad will do) so make sure you got your controllers ready. No need to fear,  below are the instructions for getting rid of expired evil teabags.
